How does spending 10 days riding a Royal Enfield through the Himalayas sound? And what about tackling some of the highest roads on Earth, exploring ancient cultures, and enjoying mountain scenery that’ll have you stopping for photos every five minutes?
Well, here’s your chance, because Goodwind Moto Tours is giving one lucky winner a place on its spectacular 10-day motorcycle adventure through Ladakh in northern India. And with a prize worth $2,750 (around £2,100) up for grabs, this is a competition you won’t want to miss.
To be in with a chance of winning a spot on the Ladakh Motorcycle Tour, all you need to do is answer this simple question:
The tour departs on 11 June 2027, and having seen the itinerary, we reckon the winner is in for one hell of an adventure.
Ride the roof of the world

Tucked away in the northernmost reaches of India, Ladakh is one of those places that seems almost purpose-built for adventure motorcycling.
Here, the Himalayas rise above vast high-altitude deserts, remote Buddhist monasteries cling to mountainsides, and narrow roads wind through some of the most spectacular scenery you’ll find anywhere on the planet.
It’s also a region where travelling by motorcycle makes a lot of sense. Rather than watching those extraordinary landscapes pass by through a car window, you’re right in the middle of them, experiencing every twist in the road, change in temperature, and breathtaking mountain view.
And Goodwind Moto Tours has put together a route that takes in some of Ladakh’s most remarkable sights.
Ten days riding some of the world’s highest roads

Your adventure begins in Srinagar, in Indian-administered Kashmir, where you’ll meet your fellow riders and get acquainted with your Royal Enfield Himalayan.
From there, the journey heads towards Leh, following mountain roads through the Zoji La Pass and Kargil, with a visit to the ancient Buddhist monastery at Lamayuru along the way. And that’s just the start.
Over the following days, you’ll explore the dramatic Nubra Valley, ride along the Shyok River, and visit Pangong Tso, a vast lake sitting more than 4,300m above sea level, where the water changes colour with the light.
There’ll be plenty to keep adventure riders entertained, including gravel tracks, rocky roads, river crossings, and hairpin bends. All told, the tour covers more than 800 miles through some of the wildest landscapes in the Himalayas.

But perhaps the greatest challenge comes towards the end of the trip, when you’ll set off from the remote village of Hanle to tackle Umling La.
At approximately 5,798m above sea level, it’s recognised by Guinness World Records as the highest altitude road in the world. To put that into perspective, you’ll be riding at an altitude higher than Everest Base Camp.
It’s the sort of experience that earns a permanent place in your motorcycling memory bank.
Just bring your riding kit

One of the pleasures of joining an organised motorcycle tour is leaving the logistics to someone else. And when you’re travelling through remote mountain regions, that’s an especially welcome luxury.
Goodwind Moto Tours provides a Royal Enfield Himalayan for the journey, along with fuel, nine nights’ accommodation in carefully selected properties, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the trip.
You’ll also have experienced guides leading the way, a support vehicle to carry your luggage, and a mechanic on hand if needed.
The itinerary includes time to acclimatise to the altitude before tackling the higher mountain passes, leaving you free to concentrate on the riding and enjoy everything this extraordinary corner of India has to offer.
Flights, visas, travel insurance, and riding gear are NOT included, but the main ingredients for an unforgettable motorcycle adventure are taken care of.
