This Electric Off-Road Beach Wagon Folds Down Small Enough for Your Trunk

As southern California natives who grew up by the ocean, we know all too well the struggles of hauling your gear from your parking spot (wherever that might be) to the waterline is the part of the beach day nobody plans for. Your wagon rolls beautifully across the asphalt, hits the soft stuff, and turns into a plow you’re dragging with all your might.

Now, powered carts have existed as a fix for years, but they’re mostly heavy (and expensive) aluminum sleds that don’t really pack down for transport too well. LITEFAR is throwing their hat in the ring with the B1 Beach Edition.

Most sand carts fail on simple physics rather than the power they generate. Those narrow wheels press all that weight into a tiny contact patch, the sand gives way underneath, and there’s really no motor on earth to dig you back out.

So the B1 starts with 10-inch low-pressure balloon tires wide enough to keep the load riding on top of the sand instead of trenching through it.

Only after that do the motors come into play. A pair of 600W brushless units live inside the rear hubs, good for 36 Nm and a walking-pace 3.4 mph top speed, with no chain or exposed drivetrain for sand to chew through.

The smart handle reads your walking pace and will assist as you walk. The goal is to make it feel like you’re still steering a wagon rather than piloting one. Cruise control holds a set speed for the long haul across open beach.

Then there’s the optional remote, which lets you send a fully loaded cart ahead while you carry the boards.

As we mentioned, plenty of powered carts can move gear, but almost none of them go in a trunk afterward.

The B1 collapses from 43 inches tall down to 21, weighs 53 pounds, and hauls 150 liters with a 220-pound rolling capacity. Park it and the static rating jumps to 440, so it can even double as a table on the beach.

And because nobody wants dead gadgets on the beach, the integrated 24,000mAh pack pulls out and becomes a 100W USB-C power. A telescoping lantern rises above the bed for the walk back after sunset, and the modular rails accept everything from tabletops to umbrella mounts. The wheels also pop off for airless honeycomb tires when you journey inland.
