This is a hidden gem in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where a waterfall flows through an old stone wall, and cascades over mossy rocks in a steep, mossy canyon surrounded by birch trees.
The waterfall and two other creeks converge in this canyon, before disappearing through a large culvert at the bottom. It’s worth it to visit in the rain, when more water is running – and the rain just adds to the ambience.
You don’t need to hike to access this place – it is right beside the road. It’s easy to walk around the top of the canyon, but of course you’ll get the best photos if you go down into the canyon, but be warned, it is very steep and muddy.
This is easy to access, right beside the road, but it is very steep to go into the canyon for the best view. I recommend rubber boots, because the easiest way down is right in one of the creeks.
