Auto China has become the show where the industry’s wildest ideas get put on full display, and the 2026 edition delivered in spades. GAC’s commercial vehicle arm, an outfit best known for vans and workhorse trucks, used the Beijing stage to launch an entire lifestyle brand called Montx. Its headliner is an all-electric pickup concept crowned the Montx P10.

Montx arrives under the tagline “New Breed, No Boundaries,” and it bills the P10 as a “Multi-Dimensional Mobility Platform.” It’s basically a truck for the crowd that wants a single vehicle for the boardroom, the backcountry, and everything in between.

The design certainly commits to the bit. Finished in Stealth Fighter Grey with armor-inspired bodywork, the P10 is all hard angles and exposed structure, and naturally, the Cybertruck comparison is absolutely unavoidable. And it looks like Montx is happy to lean into it, seeing as the brand stuffed “Cybertruck” directly into its own website’s search keywords.

Underneath, the P10 rides on quad-motor distributed drive with torque vectoring and long-travel suspension. The truck also packs some impressive predictability tech, building a real-time 3D model of the terrain ahead and pre-adjusts its dampers before the wheels ever hit the rough stuff.

And we have to talk about that steering wheel for a moment, which slides across the dash to flip the cabin between left- and right-hand drive for border crossings where traffic swaps sides.

Riding in the bed is a carbon-fiber-framed eVTOL, a small passenger aircraft meant to keep the adventure going in places the truck physically can’t. Montx calls the pairing “vehicle-drone symbiosis.”

Before anyone gets too excited, remember the P10 is pure concept. There’s no horsepower figure, no battery capacity, no range estimate, and no production plan. But it does offer a pretty good preview on where GAC thinks adventure vehicles are headed.

2026 Montx P10 Concept

Debuting GAC’s new Montx adventure brand at Auto China 2026, the all-electric P10 concept pairs quad-motor off-road hardware with a passenger eVTOL riding in the bed.
