Charging one phone in the car is easy. The problem starts when a passenger needs power, a tablet is running navigation, a handheld gaming device is nearly empty, or somebody wants to keep a laptop alive on a long drive. Instead of offering only a couple of USB ports, this model combines two built-in retractable USB-C cables, one USB-C port, and one USB-A port. UGREEN rates the charger for up to 150W of total output, while the primary retractable cable can deliver up to 100W.
The result is less like a basic phone charger and more like a compact charging station for the car.
Two retractable cables tackle the mess first
The most interesting feature may not be the 150W rating. It is the built-in cable management.
UGREEN equips the charger with two 2.3-foot, or 0.7-meter, retractable USB-C cables. The cable heads magnetically attach to the body when stored, so loose USB-C cables are not permanently draped around the center console.
That is a simple improvement, but it addresses a familiar annoyance. Pull out only the length you need, charge the device, and retract the cable when you are finished.
There is still a tradeoff. Retractable mechanisms add moving parts compared with ordinary charging cables, so long-term durability remains to be seen. UGREEN says the mechanism is designed for repeated operation, but this particular charger has not been independently tested over months or years.
The main cable can supply up to 100W
The first retractable USB-C cable supports up to 100W output, taking this charger beyond ordinary phone duty.
UGREEN says that connection can charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro from 0% to 100% in about 1.5 hours. That is a manufacturer test result rather than a guaranteed charging time; battery condition, laptop workload, vehicle electrical output, temperature, and the number of connected devices can all affect real-world performance.
The more useful takeaway is that 100W gives the charger enough potential for compatible USB-C laptops, larger tablets, handheld gaming PCs, power banks, and other devices that need substantially more power than a phone.
For someone who works from the road or travels with a laptop, that is much more useful than another 20W phone-only adapter.
Four devices can plug in at once
Alongside the two retractable cables, the charger includes a 30W USB-C port and a 30W USB-A port.
That gives you four charging connections in total. UGREEN rates the whole charger at 150W maximum combined output, which is an important distinction from the individual port ratings.
It would be misleading to read “150W” as meaning every connected device can receive its maximum wattage simultaneously. Available power has to be divided among connected devices, and unless UGREEN publishes a detailed power-allocation chart for this model, it is best not to assume the maximum output for every multi-device combination.
Still, the practical benefit is clear. A laptop, two phones, and another accessory can remain connected instead of passengers taking turns with a single cable.
The inclusion of USB-A is useful, too. Plenty of older accessories and cables have not moved to USB-C, so one legacy connection avoids an immediate need for adapters.
It works with 12V and 24V vehicles
UGREEN lists compatibility with 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems, covering typical passenger cars as well as many SUVs and trucks.
The charger also uses a 180-degree adjustable design, allowing the upper section to change angle depending on where the vehicle manufacturer placed the 12V socket.
That matters more than it sounds. Some 12V sockets point straight upward, while others sit horizontally or deep inside a storage compartment. An adjustable body gives you more flexibility in keeping the cables accessible.
It still will not guarantee a perfect fit in every console, particularly if the socket is tightly recessed, but it is more adaptable than a rigid charger.
The safety claims are specific
UGREEN says this model is UL 2089 certified and incorporates protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, and short circuits. The company also says the design helps protect the vehicle fuse against overload.
Those are manufacturer and certification claims, not evidence that every vehicle electrical system can continuously deliver 150W.
Your vehicle still matters. Accessory sockets and their fuses have different current limits, particularly across older cars. Anyone planning to regularly power several high-demand devices should check the rating of the vehicle’s 12V outlet and fuse rather than assuming the charger can override the electrical system feeding it.
UGREEN also lists support for charging standards including PD 3.0, PPS, QC 3.0, QC 4+, AFC, SCP, and FCP, broadening compatibility across Apple and Samsung phones, laptops, handheld consoles, and other devices.
