If one of your fancy Milwaukee tools is broken, has stopped working, or isn’t operating as it should, don’t just throw it away. Most Milwaukee power tools come with a 5-year warranty, or a cheap spare part might be the difference between enjoying it for years to come and spending big bucks on a replacement.
Did you know there are several ways to find affordable factory-replacement parts for all your favorite Milwaukee tools? More importantly, you don’t have to scroll through eBay or drive forever to a Milwaukee service center. That’s because you can actually buy hundreds of replacement parts right from Home Depot’s official parts repair website.
Whether the blade pulley on your band saw broke, you need a new friction ring or collet for your impact driver, or the chuck broke on your drill, Home Depot has you covered. Here’s what you need to know.
Milwaukee Factory Service Center stores
Several states have physical repair stores
First off, your best bet for anything Milwaukee is to find an official Factory Service Center store. Milwaukee operates dozens of centers across the United States for tool repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, and warranty support. These are in states such as Wisconsin, Mississippi, Indiana, and California. You can find a store on the Milwaukee website.
Additionally, in addition to those few stores, you can find hundreds of authorized third-party service centers throughout the United States. Luckily for me, there’s a Milwaukee center just 30 minutes away in Dallas, Texas, but not everyone will have that luxury.
You can submit repairs through the Milwaukee website or in person at one of those service centers, and factory-trained technicians will repair your tool with genuine Milwaukee parts. This is a great route, but unless it’s a warranty repair, you’ll be paying quite the premium. Basic drill repairs can easily run around $100, but that depends on the size of the job.
If you’re just looking for a tiny clip for a battery terminal, a small friction ring, or a new trigger switch, things won’t be quite as expensive. Overall, Milwaukee owners on Reddit have long praised these service centers for quick repairs. However, recent reports on Reddit suggest that, come 2027, Milwaukee might require all warranty repairs to be shipped through its eService program, making these smaller shops far less useful. We’ll have to wait and see, but at least you have another option — Home Depot.
Home Depot’s official Milwaukee parts store
DIYers will love this option
Whenever I’m looking for a new power tool, my first stop is either a Home Depot store or its website. While most of my tools are from Ryobi, I have a few important Milwaukee tools that are must-haves. Unfortunately, a small part on one of them recently broke, and I was pleasantly surprised that a replacement part was readily available right from Home Depot for under $8. Yes please!
While you can certainly go the authorized repair route and try to find a service center, I’m betting many of you are just like me, a DIYer who’d rather figure it out and repair things at home.
That’s why you’ll want to check out the official Home Depot parts repair site. And to be even more specific, you can tailor your search to Milwaukee parts only at Home Depot.
Oddly enough, the website is appliancerepair.homedepot.com, but it’s a genuine parts repair website for Home Depot that offers expert customer service to help you figure out exactly the part you need. Once you find it, the Home Depot repair site has fast shipping of genuine brand-name parts. And that’s key: genuine replacement parts.
You can find genuine parts for power tools and outdoor power equipment, such as edgers, string trimmers, blowers, and all sorts of other appliances. It’s not just Milwaukee, either, as the site covers most of the major brands Home Depot carries in-store.
I think what surprised me the most is the pricing. You can get replacement friction rings for under $6, head attachments for string trimmers at a fraction of the cost you’d expect, or even fully replace the entire handle assembly and plastic cover on your Milwaukee drill for $23. If you have Milwaukee tools that are old, beat up, have cracked housings, but otherwise work great, this would be an affordable way to give them a new lease on life.
Repair your Milwaukee and save some money
If you have a damaged or broken Milwaukee tool, check for an official service center or fix it yourself with help from Home Depot. It’s an easy way to ensure your tools last for years to come.
Home Depot’s repair parts search function works great: it lists which parts are OEM, lists all model numbers they’ll fit, and provides detailed parts lists for individual models of all the most common tools. The next time you’re thinking about replacing a tool, check Home Depot’s site out first and save some money.
