The backless clog has become the sneaker world’s favorite category to cash-in on, and it’s seems every athletic is now offering something that looks and feels like Birkenstock Boston.

Reebok wasn’t exactly high on our list of expected entrants in this category, and yet here we are. The brand has just cooked up one of its most relaxed design in ages, the appropriately-named Reebok Classic Mule.

At a glance, the Classic Mule almost feels like one of Reebok’s retro runners that melted into the iconic Boston silhouette. The closed-toe, open-heel build is wrapped in layered taupe suede, with the brand’s signature side stripes stitched in tonally rather than slapped on in contrast.

Aside from a subtle logo across the vamp and a Reebok Classic stamp on the footbed, the branding all but disappears. Even the outsole keeps things mellow, sporting a thin slab of gum-toned rubber with just enough texture for grip.

Comfort duties fall to a cushy EVA foam footbed, which Reebok promises is good for all-day wear. And that footbed is topped in suede too, so bare feet get the plush treatment right along with everything else.

The Mule isn’t riding solo, either. Reebok is pairing it with a Classic Slide, an open-toe sibling built from criss-crossing suede straps in the same taupe finish.

The Reebok Classic Mule is available now for 99,000 KRW (roughly $71), but only through Reebok’s Korean webstore. The brand hasn’t said a word about a stateside release, so until then, it’s proxy services or patience.

Reebok joins the clog craze with a head-to-toe taupe suede slip-on priced around $71, though for now you’ll need a South Korean address to score a pair.
