Helinox Turned Crocs’ Quick Trail Clog Into a Glow-in-the-Dark Camp Shoe

Anyone who has spent a weekend at a campground in the last decade has probably sat in a Helinox chair, whether they clocked the logo or not. The Korean brand’s Chair One landed in 2012, more or less invented the packable camp seat, and still sets the bar to this day.

What Helinox has never done is footwear. And that finally changes with the Helinox x Crocs Quick Trail Clog.

Helinox spun out of Dongah Aluminum Corporation, the Korean firm that has been quietly supplying tent poles to The North Face, Big Agnes, and a good chunk of the premium tent market for decades. That obsession with strength-to-weight ratios is the entire brand.

So this isn’t a lifestyle label renting out a logo. It’s an engineering company with genuine outdoor credibility taking a swing at the campsite’s other essential item.

The stock Quick Trail Clog is already Crocs’ most trail-capable slip-on, a mash-up of the Classic Clog and the Quick Trail Low with a ladder-lock backstrap and zoned rubber tread underfoot. Helinox left the molded Croslite lower half alone and went to work on everything above it.

The upper picks up a ripstop shroud, cinched down by a bungee lacing system and an adjustable toggle. Reflective thread runs through the cords, and both colorways, Black and Walnut, stick to a matte earth-tone palette that looks lifted straight out of a Helinox gear catalog.

Underneath, the footbed gets extra Croslite for the long walk back to the car, and the rubber outsole keeps the multi-zone tread pattern that makes the Quick Trail worth taking off pavement in the first place.

Now here’s the part we didn’t see coming. The lace anchors are glow-in-the-dark Jibbitz called “LUMINOUS SPLASH,” and they aren’t just for decoration. They’re the hardware routing the bungee across the upper.

In daylight they read as bright blue pucks against all that black. After sundown they burn a radioactive green, joined by glowing details down on the outsole.

Call it a gimmick if you want. But anyone who has fumbled around a dark tent at 2am hunting for their shoes knows exactly how useful this is, and Jibbitz working as load-bearing hardware is certainly a clever bit of thinking.

The bad news for anyone stateside: this one is a Korea-only release for now, priced at 129,000 KRW (roughly $95) through Helinox Wear and Crocs Korea, with international availability still listed as TBA. For reference, the standard Quick Trail Clog runs $65 here, so the collab premium is about thirty bucks for the ripstop, the bungee setup, and the glow hardware.
