This is the third time Casio and the Mother series, known internationally as EarthBound Beginnings, have worked together, and the timing is deliberate. The DW-5600MOT26-9 marks the 20th anniversary of Mother 3, and Casio has wrapped the classic square DW-5600 case in a yellow the brand compares to a field of sunflowers. It is a small, specific detail that fans of the games will catch right away. For everyone else, it is still a clean, bright take on the most iconic G-SHOCK shape.
The DW-5600 base keeps this grounded. You get the same origin-story silhouette that started the 5600 line back in 1987, so the collaboration reads as a color and theme project rather than a new module. That is usually how these Mother editions work, and it keeps the price reasonable.

Availability is the catch. Casio is selling the watch in Japan through a lottery, with applications opening at the Mother’s Shop online store on July 17, 2026. That means no guaranteed walk-up purchase, and international buyers will likely need a proxy service or the resale market to land one.

The Color Camo GA-V01CMG-4A and GA-V01CMG-6A
The second release is louder. The GA-V01CMG-4A and GA-V01CMG-6A are part of G-SHOCK’s GA-V01 line, the chunky analog-digital series Casio calls Cool Eyes and fans have nicknamed alien eyes for its spherical glass and oversized hands. Casio pitches the vibrant pink and purple camo finishes as a match for Y2K fashion, which is the whole point of this pair.
Under the styling, the GA-V01 platform is doing something more interesting than the colorway suggests. The face uses a layered build with a metallic dial, openwork detailing, and a full-screen LCD sitting behind specially designed oversize hour and minute hands. It is a hybrid layout that keeps analog character while still giving you a digital readout.

Both watches are built to G-SHOCK’s usual toughness standard, with shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance. The spec that stands out is battery life. Casio says the GA-V01 runs for roughly 10 years on a single CR2025 cell, helped by a low-power design that still includes an alarm and the Super Illuminator double LED light for readability in the dark.
