Salomon’s collab dance card has been full ever since the ACS Pro returned in 2022, with everyone from MM6 Maison Margiela to L’Art de L’Automobile taking a swing at the trail runner. Most of those partners settled for new colors and materials.

A-COLD-WALL* had other plans. After sneaking Salomon footwear into its spring 2025 runway show, A-COLD-WALL*’s first retail collaboration with the brand its a total reimagining of the ACS Pro, leaving only the signature floating cage and multi-layered midsole intact.

The standard mesh-and-synthetic upper is gone, replaced with Matryx Kevlar mesh, which is the same lightweight, bomb-proof textile Salomon developed for trail racing. Suede overlays and a protective toecap round out the material story.

True to ACW’s post-industrial brand DNA, every panel, seam, and layer is left exposed. It’s the sneaker equivalent of a building with the ductwork showing, and it works nicely here.

The distressed eyelets and grain-textured midsole mean you’re paying a premium for a shoe that only looks like it’s already survived a season on the trails. And we’d probably roll our eyes if these didn’t look so good.

The asymmetric take on Salomon’s Quicklace system runs through an extended, irregular throat that throws the whole silhouette deliberately off balance. Weird? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not.

Crucially, none of the art-school surgery touched the performance hardware. The Agile Chassis System still handles stability, a Contagrip rubber outsole still grips like a proper trail shoe, and each shoe weighs a reasonable 14 oz.

Two colorways are on deck. Black Olive/Bog/Icicle plays it muted and weathered, while Bluing/Earth Brown/Black Olive goes loud with royal blue mesh and high-vis yellow hits on the lacing hardware.
